Keri has introduced a biometric fingerprint ID station that is compatible with the PXL-500W Tiger II Controller, as well as most other Wiegand-compatible access control panels.

Simple card access is an effective measure against unauthorized entry, and the BioPointe Reader will cost effectively add extra security to any entrance to any area by guarantying that only authorized people can enter by virtue of a unique identifier -their fingerprint.
Biometrics are most commonly used for verification of a card holder as opposed to primary identification, but the BioPointe Fingerprint Reader can be used for either, and in fact both concurrently, all in the same unit as some users can be enrolled to simply put their finger on the device (touch and go) while others can be enrolled to require their fingerprint template be loaded via a PIN or access card.
BioPointe Readers can be configured via a simple software application or by using the keypad. An RS-485 Network allows enrolled fingerprint templates on a reader to be uploaded to other readers in the system.
